Fortunate Friday

Well evfurry…grannie took off today to the shopz..she put Forrest an me in the laundry and said ” back soon” so we get on our bedz get our blanketz put on and wait…..
Well…grannie was back…not too soon though! see she went on a excursionz..
First she took a drive up to Mt Alexander (no dogz allowed)
See it haz been very cold here..all over the statez there haz been snow and wind…so grannie went lookin fur snow!
Grandad rang an said it was snowin when he drove to work..
Here are some picshures grannie took with her phone..it waz too cold fur her camera she said…and she only got videoz of the snow…

There'z a tower somewhere...
There’z a tower somewhere…
Mist and clouds
Mist and clouds

Then grannie went to the shopz..an on the way home..two doggies right in the middle of a busy road!!..
Thiz iz the spot grannie found the doggiez..the house on the right iz where they livez

How dangerouz iz thiz
How dangerouz iz thiz

Grannie tooted themz and quickly drove in to the nursery next door to their house..
She ranz out of the car and these two doggoes waz running up sayin high.an older female who was black and this little puppy…they ran into the house there..so grannie went in an knocked on the doorz…nobody home…she looked around…the fencing seemed fine an she could see new fencing had been put up…nothingz..she went to the big gatez and walked both doggiez in an told them to stay..as she got to her carz she seen the puppy waz out AGAIN! the man in the nursery said he seen them wanderin yesterday!!! hello could you tellz someone!!
Anywho grannie got the puppy who thought the whole thing waz hilarious an put him in our car..she rang the rangerz an said she waz not leavin as she waz worried the other doggie would get out too..which she did…boy…
So in the freezing rain grannie stood outside the house an watched the other doggie…who was on her front porch but still could wanderz out..
The owner came in about ten minutez  az he must have got a callz..he waz so greatful an said they had just moved an he had no idea how they gotz out..so he waz putting them in the house until he could workz it out..
So if grannie had not gone to the snowz..and then the shopz…they could haz been in big troublez…see other peeps saw them and she waz the only one what stopped….they were furry friendly..and when grannie got home..well we checked her fur messages…we think her pantz said that the pups were gla she came along and that they were furry fortunate!

Better heer dude than the road!

  1. That was great, YAY for grannie! I’m always puzzled when people say “yeah I saw them wandering around since hours, days, years” and I always wonder why they did nothing. Thanks that your grannie acted immediately. What kind of animals live in that closed area?

      1. the area of the Ballantinia track :o) I’m glad that your grannie was there at the right time. It’s not easy to discover pups on the street and to brake in time when it is wet and misty .

      3. We have one here..when I first met our neighbour she warned me that the owl was here and said the woman who lived here once was scared to stay in the house at night because of it..i am glad she warned me..it sounds like a woman screaming for her life hahaah..this owl was the one that had the first settlers to our country thinking we had a beast in the bush and the legend of the Bunyip was born..still today police get called to rural porperties by people saying they can hear a woman screaming …..;) when I heard it I at least knew what it was…when I take the pups out for a wee late at night I can hear it whoosing through the trees 🙂

      4. Oh that would be great stuff for a howl-o-ween post! We have a screech owl what’s the worst omen ever for superstitious peeps. It lives on the attic of our garage, so we can hear it every night … and that the cemetery is directly opposite of our garage makes it not better :o(

Soo cool Easy…we must try and get our Owls in on howl-oween 🙂 I think you can google the sound of the barking owl….cemetary’s to me are such peaceful and wonderful places to see the love that you have left people with after you have gone..and a great source of history …we could tour one together my friend 😉

  3. I am just glad that Granny was there to take them off that busy road. What irresponsible owners they have! My heart aches every time I see a doggie walking in the street with no one to watch over him or her. People like that should not have furries at all! Thank you Granny!

Love the photo’s and video. It is so beautiful there! 😀 ♥ Big Hugs ♥ to all of you. xxx

      1. Yes, that is the problem when there at not someone at home watching them and yes, we can’t always be there and I am glad they are good owners then. It sounds to me the pups missed them and couldn’t understand why they were left alone.

I agree, the guy at the nursery should have said something. Well, some people have the attitude of ‘who cares?’ and that is why I am glad that there are people like Grannie. The wife of the vet I used to work for always did the same. Her car was also always full of strays and they had a lot of them as well. 😀

I am glad it’s not as bad there. Luckily Grannie is there. 😀

      3. That is why Grannie is one of my favourite people in the world. She cares so much and lots of people can take an example from her indeed. Furries do not understand all the time what is going on and when we leave them they feel abandoned and that is why they want to escape. I am so glad you have Grannie in your lives. 😀

If not for her those sweet doggies might have been injured or worse, the roads and streets are no place for them for sure. Give Grannie some extra licks and loves for helping those doggies, okay? 1. Too knid Caren..but I always seem to be in the right place at the right time..hence how I ended up in fostering kittens…just happened to wander out to the backyard (at our old house) and find ..four tiny kittens…no mum..the neighbours where we lived then were ..well let’s say the police knew them well the kid’s were not cared for and so on..so the kittens ‘appeared’ …I got them down to the shelter as I had been doing seemingly for the 2 weeks prior..with diferent cats or kittens..the cat shelter manager said…looks like you have the touch and so I became a foster…the thing is if Forrest had found them well…I don’t now what he would have done as they were so small and just there…not like our cats that were introduced properly..this ‘woman’ next door knew we had the dogs and knew Forrest used to go ape..due to the violent fights and screaming (see why we sold! ) and I bet she hoped the dogs would kill them..don’t get me started on the human race xxxxx
