THANKYOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTZ TO ALL THOSE WHO THINKZ OF ANIPALZ IN NEED.

Amidst the darkness of a smoke-filled sky shines a glimmer of hope in the form of a painter in a dinghy.  When flames engulfed the shoreline of a lake in fire-s…ticken NSW, animals fled to the water in a desperate attempt to escape. Ryan Baxter and his friends had been assisting evacuated residents when they spotted wallabies, kangaroos and a bandicoot as far as 100m out into the lake. The terrified animals were trapped, and had nowhere to go (www.bit.ly/19lUAnk). The brave men managed to save these animals – but there are countless others who are not so lucky.   NSW is battling its worst fire disaster in nearly 50 years. The fires are fast, and they’re expected to get worse as the state faces the possibility of merging fires creating a catastrophic ‘superfire’. As tens of thousands of hectares of bushland all but disappear into a hellish blaze, many native animals are simply not fast enough to escape – and those that have survived are in urgent need of care.  Local wildlife groups are coordinating rescue efforts and medical assistance for injured animals. If you are in a position to support the efforts of groups on the ground, head to http://www.HunterWildlife.org.au or http://www.Wires.org.au to find out how you can help.  #NSWFires Pic: John Grainger — with Oberigdoli  Helpofanimals.
